Data Collection

We do not collect any data. True Dark Mode:

  • Does not track your browsing history
  • Does not collect personal information
  • Does not use analytics or tracking scripts

  • Does not sell or share any data (because we don't have any)

Local Storage

The extension stores your preferences (such as brightness settings, whitelist, and disabled sites) locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage API. This data never leaves your device and is only used to remember your settings between browser sessions.

These permissions are used solely for the core functionality of applying dark mode to web pages. We do not use these permissions to collect or transmit any data.
